2025 Virtus World Athletics Championships

The 2025 Virtus World Athletics Championships was an international event for elite athletes with an intellectual impairment from 8-15 October 2025. Over 300 participants from 30 countries competed in Brisbane, Australia for the 11^th edition of the Championships.

About Event

The event was hosted by Sport Inclusion Australia, the Australian Virtus Member, with competition conducted by Queensland Athletics. The event was proudly supported by the Australian Government, Queensland Government, Brisbane City Council, Stadiums Queensland and Superopti. We partnered with Scene Change to deliver a spectacular Opening Ceremony at Roma Street Parklands Amphitheatre.
