Australian Team Athlete Applications Now Open for the 2027 Virtus Asia Oceania Games, Bangkok

The 2027 Virtus Asia Oceania Games, in Bangkok, Thailand will bring together athletes with an intellectual impairment from across the Asia Oceania region to compete at the highest level of international competition. The event is hosted by the Sports Association for Intellectual Disability of Thailand.

All athletes on the Australian team must hold Virtus International Eligibility. If you do not have this, please start this process as soon as possible. More information on eligibility applications can be found on our website.
The second edition of the Virtus Asia Oceania Games will now be held from 24 February to 3 March 2027 in Bangkok.
Hosted by the Sports Association for Intellectual Disability of Thailand, the event will bring together top athletes with intellectual impairments from across Asia and Oceania, celebrating excellence, sportsmanship and unity.
The Games will be supported by the Sports Authority of Thailand, the National Paralympic Committee of Thailand, national sports federations and other key partners.
This prestigious event will provide high-level competition opportunities for athletes in classes II1, II2 and II3, across a range of sports including: Athletics, Badminton, Swimming, Table Tennis and Taekwondo.
